Oakland is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Oakland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

August 14, 2026 – 4:37 PM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another absolutely phenomenal experience at Fat Cat Tires in Oakland. There are tire shops where you feel like you’re simply another vehicle in the queue, and then there are places where the people actually understand that they’re working with customers who have places to be, problems to solve, and lives happening outside the shop. Fat Cat Tires absolutely falls into the second category. From the moment I arrived, the entire experience felt effortless. The team was professional, knowledgeable, straightforward, and incredibly easy to work with. No unnecessary pressure, no complicated runaround, and no trying to turn a simple situation into a sales opportunity. Just honest service and people who know what they’re doing. That’s rare. What really impressed me was the overall attitude of the team. There was a calm confidence to the way they handled everything. You could tell they weren’t just trying to get through another job—they actually took pride in doing the work correctly and making sure the customer was taken care of. That’s what I call white-glove service. And let’s be honest, nobody wakes up thinking, “You know what would make toda

July 20, 2026 – Approximately 11:45 AM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stopped into Fat Cat Tires today around 11:45 in the morning, and I have to say, experiences like this are exactly why local businesses continue to earn loyal customers. From the moment I arrived, the entire process felt effortless. No confusion. No pressure. No upselling. No trying to sell me things I didn’t need. Just honest people, exceptional service, and a team that clearly understands what customer care is supposed to look like. Walking into an automotive shop can sometimes feel intimidating. Most of us aren’t tire experts. We rely on the people behind the counter to guide us honestly, explain things clearly, and help us make the right decision without making us feel foolish for asking questions. The team at Fat Cat Tires absolutely nailed that. Every interaction was professional, respectful, and incredibly helpful. They took the time to answer questions, explain options, and make sure I understood exactly what was going on. There was a genuine sense of pride in their work and a commitment to making sure customers leave feeling taken care of. That matters. A lot. What impressed me most was how smooth everything

We had an emergency to get a hard to find tire for a BMW X5 which don't have spares. Gave them a call and had what we wanted. I didn't get a name but who I spoke to was super helpful and had waited a lil past closing for us to come from the Eastbay. I will definitely be back if needed and would recommend.
